At SFIMO.org, one of the most compassionate and life-changing efforts we are proud to lead is our “Reuniting Children with Family” program. While our organization was founded in Haiti in 2004 with a strong focus on education and community empowerment, we understand that the foundation of a child’s well-being begins with the love and stability of a family.
The Reality Behind Family Separation
In many parts of Haiti and other underserved communities, families are torn apart by poverty, natural disasters, or other crises. Children often end up in orphanages or on the streets—not because they are truly orphaned, but because their families lack the resources to care for them. This painful reality creates emotional trauma for children and heartbreak for parents.

Restoring Hope Through Family Reunification
Our mission is simple, yet powerful: bring children home. We work tirelessly with local leaders, social workers, and community advocates to identify children who have been separated from their families and help rebuild those broken bonds.

- Providing Support Services: We offer food, healthcare, and financial assistance to help families stabilize before reunification.
- Offering Counseling and Reintegration Help: Emotional and spiritual support is provided to help both children and parents adjust to life together again.
- Ensuring Long-Term Success: We continue to monitor and support families after reunification to prevent future separation.
